Our Story

Baking with love, makes it delicious!

Bakers Brothers is a Bakery that we started in 2016. We started slowly with only a few machines, working with a very experienced young lady who assisted us very much with running and growing our bakery. We mainly produce bread made from stoneground flour, 100% natural wheat with no preservatives or additives added. Our bread is always proved on traditional baskets, and most of our breads are vegan friendly.

Our Products

Sourdough

These are breads based on natural leaven. Authentic sourdough relies entirely on the wild yeast that exists in the air.

Rye Bread

Rye is the only other cereal apart from wheat that is used to make bread. Considered a superior grain to wheat, Rye is high in fibre and helps control digestion. All the health benefits commonly attributed to adding rye to your diet are the result of the nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and organic compounds that can be found in it.
Rye Dough is notoriously known for being sticky and difficult to handle.

Whole-wheat bread

We produce bread that is milled from organic wheat produced without the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides.

Shabbat Bread

Shabbat is originally from Yemen. This bread is a yeasted white dough enriched with butter and sweetened with sugar or honey.

We bake cakes for various occasions, *please place your orders in advance.

Samuel ‘Sam’ Mboko

Sam is the Head Baker with many years of experience – you will always find him with a smile on his face.

Tarirai Mboko

Tarirai is Deputy Chef at Bakers brothers in Norwood.
Tarirai also assists twin brother Takunda to successfully run the Bakers Brothers branch at 27 Boxes in Melville. We often have junior bakers that join us in the bakery for training.
